AAK Degun Mitros Estate is a 160 unit affordable housing development. Sitting on a 4.5hectare site, the efficient layout ensured that the delivery of infrastructure and services was at the lowest cost per unit possible.

With a single, central spine road (with off-lane parking), own water supply system, and dedicated power stations, the project was delivered at less than N55, 000/sqm. The mix of house types includes 2 bedroom flats, 2 bedroom semi-detached bungalows, and 3 bedroom semi-detached bungalows. Over 45 Task Managers (TM) (local, small-scale contractors) were assembled and trained following an extensive pre-qualification exercise. Each TM was allocated one or two units. All 112 bungalows were roofed in 9 weeks. Bulk procurement also contributed to the cost gains.
